About The Project
I am participating in the dayzeroproject.com which is a unique challenge that inspires you to set and achieve your personal goals in life.
The Challenge:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.
The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on your part).
Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple challenges such as New Year's resolutions or a 'Bucket List'. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips, study semesters, or outdoor activities.
Here is my list (still in process of creation):
1. Identify 100 things that make me happy. (73/100)
2.Write a letter to myself to open in 10 years. Completed 12.20.10
3.Send a secret to PostSecret. Completed 1.18.11
4. Donate blood.
5. See a film at IMAX.
6. Volunteer at a soup kitchen.
7. Take a cake decorating class.
8. Put away $10 for every goal completed.
9.Enter a photography contest. Completed 5.19.10
10.Find a new job. Completed 7.16.10
11.Own an iPhone. Completed 5.28.10
12. Read 100 books (86/100)
13. Find a personally inspirational quote and work it into a piece of art or home decor.
14.Influence a person to create a dayzero list. Completed 5.19.10 T&D Girl
15. Dress up for Halloween.
16. Lose 15 pounds. (5/15)<---constant struggle...
17.Ride a roller coaster. Completed 2.26.12 @ Hollywood Studios -Aerosmith Coaster!

19. Journal every day for a month.
20. Create a living will.

22. Bake an apple pie from scratch.
23. Get published in scrapbooking (again).

28.Take Ethan to the Creative Discovery Museum in Chattanooga. Completed 10.4.10

30. Learn to drive a stick-shift.
31. Take pictures in a photo booth with Ethan.
32. Ride the zipline in Pigeon Forge.
33.Run 3 days per week for one month/4 weeks. Completed 6.2.11 thru 6.24.11
34. Leave an inspirational note inside a book for someone to find.
